A beginning
I have never really thought starting a blog..I did not find it something that would suit me..until now..
I am an observer..I constantly observe myself - my thoughts, my actions, my feelings and contemplate on them. Other than this, observing people, situations and nature is also something I tend to do.
A recent situation/observation of mine made me realise that starting a blog would not be a bad idea after all.
For gaining a good level of self-esteem and to appear confident socially and mingle with people freely, it is essential to believe in something. Believing in oneself is not really enough. One needs to believe in some kind of idea, thought or cause one represents/ fights for. What I have observed is, people come across an inspiring idea(s) and get so moved by it that communicating that idea to the rest of the world becomes their purpose of life. If not communicating it to the world, atleast practising it in their daily life becomes their identity. "What is it that you believe in?", "What do you do in your spare time?" They most probably will have a relatively quick answer to this.
Now, when it comes to my case..
I spend a lot of my spare time reading, discussing with a few (2-3) friends and further thinking about the endless quest for the meaning of life, purpose of existence and God. Cultures, religions, psychology, family and relationships, evolution of the society etc. are my all-time favourite subjects.
Along with this, goes on my non-stop habit of self-interrogation and observation.
New ideas and realisations flash through my mind a lot more often than it does to the people around me. And there are so many of them that many might clash. So i can't really say what I believe in (except a few basic ones). But I do respect each of my thoughts and I find them worthy of enough to be spoken about.
I used to write some of these down once in a while in a book of mine. But I share all of my thoughts with my boyfriend. Every thought that came across my mind is told to him in utmost detail. But then again, he is a human being. How much can he retain? There is no source that can tell out all of my thoughts in one go. These thoughts make me what I am, so I need to record them.
And therefore, I decided to start a blog.
