The ocean of infinite possibilities!

There has been this whole different perspective to consciousness and life that hit me on December 17th last year..but I never really got time to put it into words and tell people about it..I tried once verbally but I ran out of words and could not communicate what I felt. Just the very thought of the idea gives me a high...and today I will finally try to say it out.

It was triggered by the 4th chapter of 'One' written by Richard Bach. After I completed the chapter, I was literally jumping with joy and excitement because of the idea written. I felt it was direct and simple and anyone would understand it and get overwhelmed by it the same way I did. So I made a couple of my friends read the chapter. But to my surprise, neither of them looked even half as moved as me. So then I realised how the mind of every person reacts and perceives so differently. If they didn't get it, a lot more people would not.
It is not a self-realised idea that dawned upon me, but then too I should talk about it as I feel I need to let out what I understood from it, what thought pattern it got me into.

'Maya- the illusion', 'Timelessness said in quantum physics', 'Infinite possibilities'...all these have always fascinated me but I never really understood them. Until now.

(The words 'true', 'real', 'life' , 'live' all might seem very vague in this passage as I too am influenced by the regular way of thinking and speaking. But I will make my best effort in avoiding any confusion)

There is no single reality..no single life..life isn't a straight path that starts with birth and ends with death. The universal consciousness is a matrix..a web...in which each person's conscious lives..Every event, the least significant to the most, is a reality chosen by each person's conscious. Your life is what you choose to live. Parallel lifetimes exist..zillions of alternatives..some that vary minutely from your current state of focus in your conscious and some are a whole world different from it.

At every point you have an infinite ocean of possibilities to choose from and enter into. Infinite choices. Each one of them being as much possible as the others.

As said in the book, it is like an ocean of inter tangled threads. Each thread being a different path of life. Each event leads to another. And each of them have been chosen by you.
All choices, all alternatives are already existent. Even before you choose them, they are there in the web. There is no past, no present , no future..no time...everything is simultaneously happening. Richard Bach very wisely explained this in the most simple way.
' It's like arithmetic. As soon as you know the system, all your problems in numbers are already answered. The principle of arithmetic already knows the cube root of six, but it may take us what we call time, a few seconds, to find out what the answer has always been.'
The numbers are infinite. We chose a few of them to form a problem, we find an answer which was already existent.

Your conscious is living all the alternatives simultaneously. Your physical world is the path your conscious chose to believe as true. In a match, both the competing teams can win (a true win, and not a tie), in parallel physical worlds. 

Because of the influence each one of us have by the society, we tend to believe that there is a certain way that life is meant to be lived. We are made to feel that the path each person takes, the life each person lives, is predictable to an extent. We all are forced to look at life in one(or alternatives very close to that one) perspective. The society forces us to choose a path in the pattern.
We focus only on one lifetime and are fooled to think that that is all there is.

Wishes, thoughts and dreams are as real as your so-called reality. We tend to focus on one part of the large picture and everything else seems like a blur. Analysing, practical thinking..all these just narrow down the number of possibilities one can see in the future. But anything and everything is possible if you believe! Believing is focusing. We choose our focus and create our physical world.


'The secret', the much talked about film which talks about the power of mind, the cosmic law of attraction also made me think before accepting it...all of it makes sense when looked at from this perspective. Each event in your life is pulled onto you by yourself, by your thoughts. The more you think about a happening, the more you focus on it...the more you focus on it, the more you make it your 'reality'.

Of course, you can't just keep thinking about every single detail you want your future to be like, then you will have no time to actually 'live'. But if there is something that you really badly want to happen, you can just focus on it daily for a while and it will happen. From personal experience, I know that the secret works. From years before I saw the film, if there was something that I deeply and repeatedly wished for or thought about, it has come happened. The good and the bad. Yes, there have been many instances that I cudn't help laughing at because I had got exactly what I wished for, but the details I left out in my wish had gone against my intention and I ended up not as happy as I expected myself to be at the moment it finally happened. Details are very important when you use the secret for something that you specifically want to happen. Prayers too, are merely a way of repeating a thought. An 'answered prayer' is simply an alternative that you live by believing in a possibility.

Now this gets a little more complex when it comes to lives and conscious of all the billions of people. Each person has an infinite ocean of possibilities to choose from. And this is true for each soul existent in this universe. And each of our paths are linked and intermingle. The universe is an organism and all of us are cells with different purposes. Serving each other, serving the whole.. Then comes the question 'how many paths and lives are there in this universe'??? And that's when the universal consciousness is the answer. The answer is 'One'.

The universe is an ocean of ALL possible choices. This 'reality' that I believe today is one of the zillion paths my own consciousness is living. My choice cannot be labeled 'free' or 'universal'...as Everyone is interlinked. The moment I make a choice, billions of others are making their choices(or are falling into one path by default).This collectively will form one path. so a part of everyone's conscious will experience one of the zillion possibilities..

I should stop now because I am already pretty high writing about this topic. I am not sure if I have succeeded in communicating it in the way I want to..but I need to stop...

So I will end by simply saying... ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE IF YOU BELIEVE..ANYTHING!!
